DeMar DeRozan’s new team seems to be the front-runner to sign him, most likely as part of a sign-and-trade deal with the Chicago Bulls.
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that the Sacramento Kings and the Bulls are negotiating a sign-and-trade for DeRozan. DeRozan is undoubtedly done in Chicago, according to Wojnarowski, who stated as much on “SportsCenter” on Friday. However, a third team will need to be involved because the Bulls are unwilling to take on big wages.
Although there are still some possibilities for DeMar DeRozan, Wojnarowski stated that Sacramento is the team to monitor at the moment.
Earlier in the week, the Kings showed promise as a dark horse candidate for DeRozan, but it seems like things are moving more quickly now. Alongside De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis, he would probably function as the Kings’ go-to scorer and third option as they attempt to have a significant effect on the Western Conference playoffs.
The Kings have been working hard in recent days to add a third option to their roster. Right now, DeRozan might be their best option for moving forward.
