Jake White's Bulls bring Sintu Manjezi back to Pretoria

With a deal that runs through 2028, Sintu Manjezi, a returnee to Loftus Versfeld, has joined the Bulls.

The 29-year-old spent 2020–2021 as a player for the Bulls. After two seasons with the recently crowned URC champion Glasgow Warriors in Scotland, the second row returns to the team. He had played for the Cheetahs and the now-defunct EP Kings.

The 6’6, 114kg second-row’s return is anticipated to strengthen the Bulls’ forward group as Jake White’s hiring spree continues as the South African URC champions want to win more hardware the following campaign.

The Ngqushwa native says, “I have a lot of good memories from my first stint at the club, so coming back home was a definite easy decision. Now I look forward to working hard to create more.”

“Being abroad was good, getting to experience different cultures, people, and a way of life,” the NMMU alumnus continues. Glasgow is a fantastic club, and I loved the challenge of learning in a new setting. There, the identity was mauling and rapid play, which I have incorporated into my game.

“I hope that as we move into the new campaigns, I can use those lessons and others to help the club.”

The former captain of St Andrew’s College claims that because the Vodacom Bulls play in European competitions, rejoining the team is simpler.

“Since both the Vodacom United Rugby Championship and the Investec Champions Cup are regarded as the greatest club competitions in professional rugby, I am excited to keep playing in them,”

“I have also enjoyed both competitions, the caliber of rugby in them, and the caliber of players we get to play against and test our skills week in and week out, which has further enhanced this move.” Getting to do it again with the Daisy over my heart will be lovely.
