Breaking News: What former Arsenal and Derby County striker has done since exit as free agent

What Tyreece John-Jules has done since Arsenal and Derby County exit as free agent

Over the years, Derby County has had several excellent loans, and they were able to sign Tyreece John-Jules, an Arsenal striker, last season.

After spending a season on loan at Ipswich Town, where he assisted the Tractor Boys in winning promotion from League One, the 23-year-old signed with the Rams.

At Pride Park, he wanted to continue doing the same thing but with more consistent playing time and fewer injury issues.

Although John-Jules had been a promising young player at the Arsenal academy, there were some worries after he spent many times on the treatment table.

After participating in Derby’s first two League One games, the striker sustained a thigh knock that caused him to miss ten games with the team.

His comeback against Port Vale demonstrated the kind of play predicted of his recruitment as they prevailed by a slim 1-0.

After 11 games with the team, he appeared to be improving, but his season was cut short in January due to a significant hamstring injury.

Tyreece John-Jules since Arsenal exit

As the season came to a conclusion, Arsenal made it known that they would not be renewing John-Jules’ contract.

With his quickness for quick runs in behind combined with his height and strength to link plays, the forward has demonstrated his quality.

But without a season with more than 20 league games, it is evident that injury worries have plagued him throughout his career thus far.

Now that the striker is a free agent, footage of his summer training drills have been posted on John-Jules’ TikTok account (@TyreeceJJ9). The goal is to keep him prepared in case he gets the chance to sign this summer.

Finishing drills are featured in those videos, where the forward receives the ball in various situations before scoring past the goalkeeper.

Although former Derby players Joe Wildsmith and Dwight Gayle have been spotted working out with the group at the Professional Footballers’ Association camp over the past month, it is still unknown if John-Jules is also participating in that preseason training.

For Tyreece John-Jules, what’s next?

After leaving Arsenal as a free agent, John-Jules’ next move is still unknown since his new team is still up in the air.

Although it may seem odd, a move for Derby cannot be completely ruled out, since Paul Warne is still looking for a new striker.

His history of injuries will always be the biggest worry, but John-Jules has demonstrated that he is a talented player.

The promising talent that the 23-year-old offers might be worth far more to whichever team can sign him and keep him healthy than the free transfer fee.
