Wolves have initiated discussions with Burnley to sign defender Maxime Esteve, according to Fabrizio Romano.

So far this summer, Wolves have signed Rodrigo Gomes, Pedro Lima, and Tommy Doyle permanently, and Jorgen Strand Larsen on loan from Celta Vigo. Several first-team players are also returning from loan spells, including Daniel Podence, Fabio Silva, and center-back Yerson Mosquera.

Esteve was a regular for the Clarets in the 2023/24 season, making 16 appearances after joining in January. Despite his efforts, he couldn’t prevent their relegation to the Championship.
