Wakefield AFC and Featherstone Rovers have signed a lease agreement for the 2024/25 and 2025/26 football seasons, which also includes provisions for Wakefield AFC to open a club shop at the Millennium Stadium and use Featherstone Rovers’ training facilities.
Paddy Handley, a board member of Featherstone Rovers, expressed his satisfaction with the agreement, emphasizing their desire to make the stadium feel like home for Wakefield AFC and to foster a community sports center of excellence in the area.
Gui Decca, Chairman of Wakefield AFC, extended his gratitude to Featherstone Rovers for facilitating the swift relocation and expressed optimism about the stability this agreement brings. He looks forward to building a productive relationship with Featherstone, aiming for sustainability for both clubs.
