Preston North End director Peter Ridsdale has provided an update on the club’s search for a new manager following the departure of Ryan Lowe. Here’s a summary of the statement:

Ridsdale announced that the club has received a substantial amount of interest in the managerial position. “Following the announcement regarding Ryan Lowe’s departure, we have fielded over 80 calls and have a list of around 65 names interested in the vacancy,” Ridsdale said.

He highlighted that the quality and quantity of applications mean the process will take some time. “We need to assess, discuss, and, where possible, meet with candidates before we can offer the position,” Ridsdale explained.
