BREAKING NEWS :Rangers injury news update ahead of Celtic derby clash

An injury report on Philippe Clement’s Rangers team has been released ahead of tomorrow’s Old Firm clash.

Tomorrow lunchtime, the Ibrox team will travel a short distance across Glasgow to take on Celtic, their bitter rivals, in their first Scottish Premiership encounter of the year. Regarding the Belgian’s team selection, it’s excellent news because most of his players are healthy and prepared to play. Everyone is back in the running, including Oscar Cortes, who is back in training, but Ridvan Yilmaz is still out.

Regarding his signings on deadline day, the manager did give an update, stating: “Nedim Bajrami paperwork is not fully completed, so will not be available.” Neraysho Kasanwirjo is a candidate for selection, however his training time has been restricted.”

Meanwhile, Todd Cantwell has claimed Rangers has changed since he signed for the club in January 2022.

The English midfielder arrived under Michael Beale’s management but asked to leave after deciding he no longer wanted to remain in Scottish football at the start of the summer.

Since then, he’s been frozen out of the Ibrox squad awaiting a new club to swoop.

Blackburn Rovers emerged on deadline day with a £500k fee that was enough to get the deal done.

And now Cantwell has taken to the social media platform Instagram twice in 24 hours to make comments about his time in Govan.

Last night, he thanked fans and asked them not to believe everything in the media, but this morning he began to offer more insight into the thought process behind his departure, hinting all was not well behind the scenes between him and manager Clement.

Posting on Instagram, Cantwell stated: “It’s been an honour to play for this incredible football club, some of the staff behind the scenes are the hardest of workers but also incredible people.

I have enjoyed every moment of playing in the famous blue and 100 per cent every time I did. I never and would never say I didn’t want to play for the club and that was never my decision.

“Me and my family are Rangers for life. I signed for a different Rangers than the one that I leave. Mon the Gers.”
