BREAKING NEWS: “Huddersfield Town confident about sealing £2 million transfer for ex-Lincoln City player.”

Huddersfield Town are reportedly aiming to sign former Lincoln City striker from Luton Town in January for around £2 million. The Terriers were interested in him over the summer, with the player even traveling for talks, but Luton changed their stance. Lincoln City had also shown interest, but the timing made a deal too risky for them. After the transfer window closed, Huddersfield signed former Ipswich striker Freddie Ladapo as a free agent while keeping their sights on the Luton forward.Huddersfield Town Going Quietly Under The Radar - Opinion - The Real EFL

The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at Colchester United and Lincoln City, scoring 22 goals across both spells, before returning to Luton, who had been relegated from the Premier League. Luton decided not to loan him to the Championship as they’re competing there, and he isn’t seen as first-team ready. Despite being in a similar position to John McAtee, who was sold to Bolton, Luton held onto him due to a lack of attacking reinforcements.

Huddersfield may have an edge in the January window, with Luton potentially sympathetic after the summer deal fell through. However, other clubs are expected to show interest, and it will depend on whether Luton is willing to sell another rising star after McAtee’s departure.
