Rangers have officially registered the end of John Bennett’s tenure as chairman with Companies House.

An official document dated September 18 reveals that Bennett’s time at Ibrox formally concluded on Friday, September 13.

The club is now actively working to find Bennett’s successor after the 61-year-old resigned for health reasons.

Currently, the board is undergoing multiple changes, with John Gilligan stepping in as interim chairman while also taking over from James Bisgrove as CEO.

Minor shareholder George Letham has been brought in by Gilligan to serve in an advisory role [Chris Jack, September 17], while former chairman Dave King’s potential return has sparked mixed reactions among supporters.

Some believe that King’s comeback could lead to a “psycho-drama,” which the club cannot afford at a time when they are seeking stability.
