BREAKING NEWS: Daniel Farke sack talk blasted as ‘fantastic’ Carlos Corberan talk emerges at Leeds United

Carlton Palmer believes Daniel Farke should be given time to succeed at Leeds United, amidst speculation about West Brom boss Carlos Corberan potentially replacing him. Despite a mostly positive start to the season for the Whites, pressure has begun to mount on the German manager.

Palmer, speaking to *Football League World* on 20 September, dismissed the rumors about Farke’s departure and Corberan’s arrival as “nonsense.” He noted that while Leeds may have an interest in Corberan, it should not overshadow the achievements Farke has made. “Farke deserves time,” Palmer stated. “He led Leeds to the playoffs last season, and this year has been particularly challenging for him.”

Farke’s previous season was commendable, with Leeds accumulating 90 points. However, they narrowly missed out on promotion, finishing behind two teams that were in better form. While some criticism can be directed at Farke for that, Palmer feels the early season struggles do not warrant the same negativity.

Although Leeds has drawn against Portsmouth and West Brom, their overall form has been largely positive, even though they recently lost to Burnley at Elland Road. In that match, Leeds controlled much of the game but failed to convert their dominance into goals. Palmer remains confident in Farke’s abilities, emphasizing that he is a great manager for Leeds and that West Brom also has a strong leader in Corberan.

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke

The recent defeat for Leeds United cannot solely be blamed on manager Daniel Farke, as the players on the pitch ultimately let him down against their promotion rivals. As the team prepares for an upcoming clash against Cardiff City, Farke will be aiming to alleviate some of the pressure by securing all three points in that match.
