Exclusive: “Vale’s Secret Weapon: You Won’t Believe What Peter Ford Revealed!”

The Parramatta Eels are deeply saddened by the passing of Eel #440, Peter Ford.

A tough and talented second-row and lock forward from Gerringong in regional NSW, Peter represented NSW Country Seconds in 1983-84 and NSW Country Firsts in 1984, before being invited to trial for the Parramatta Eels ahead of the 1985 season.

Affectionately known as “Falcon,” Peter became a loyal one-club player for the Eels, featuring in 58 first-grade and 68 reserve-grade games from 1985 to 1988 in the Blue & Gold.

He shared the journey to training with his brother Russell and teammates Michael Cronin and Rod Quinn, commuting from Gerringong. Peter played a key role in the 1985 finals, appeared in 12 first-grade games during the 1986 premiership-winning season, and was part of the victorious 1986 National Panasonic Cup mid-week competition team.

Peter Ford passed away at the age of 63. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends. He will always be remembered as Parramatta Eels player #440.
