FINAL DECISION: Birmingham City vs Sutton United and Harrogate Town v Wrexham FA Cup

Birmingham City will compete in the FA Cup first round for the first time in 30 years, with their match against Sutton United selected for live broadcast. In Monday’s draw, Birmingham were paired with Sutton, a National League side currently ninth in the table after being relegated from League Two last season. Sutton is managed by former Millwall and Norwich striker Steve Morison, who previously managed Cardiff City until the 2022/23 season.

ITV will air the Birmingham vs. Sutton match on Sunday, November 3, at 12:30 pm on ITV1. Wrexham, Birmingham’s League One promotion rivals, will play Harrogate Town at 3:30 pm the same day, broadcast on ITVX. The weekend’s final televised game will be Lincoln City against non-league Chesham United on ITV4, scheduled for Monday, November 4, at 7:15 pm.

The FA Cup’s first-round matches will only be played on weekends this season, with replays eliminated, meaning each game will have a definitive winner. Clubs that win their first-round ties will earn £45,000, with those selected for live broadcasts receiving an additional fee.
