Exclusive: Gould’s ‘whisper’ on Arthur’s move to sign former flyer

Bulldogs general manager Phil Gould has probably revealed Maika Sivo’s next move, as the winger is expected to leave Parramatta.

Sivo will be a casualty of Jason Ryles’ regime, but he still has a lot of options in his contract through the end of 2027.

Sivo may be joining his old Eels coach Brad Arthur at Leeds Rhinos, according to a rumour that surfaced earlier this week from the English newspaper Rugby League Live.

Sivo scored the last try in Fiji’s defeat by PNG, and Gould agreed that is probably the case.

On Nine’s broadcast, Gould stated, “I think he’s close to signing over in England with Leeds.”

“I heard a whisper this morning.”

After Keenan Palasia joined Leeds, Sivo would be another recent NRL addition if he moves there.

Ryles’ goal to restructure the team’s squad is still ongoing with the winger’s departure.

Clint Gutherson has been authorised to communicate with rival teams, while Reagan Campbell-Gillard has signed with the Titans.
