1 – Arkansas seeks its first win in Starkville since the 2020 season and its second road win over Mississippi State under head coach Sam Pittman, who earned his first career win and first SEC victory at Davis Wade Stadium in 2020.

2 – Saturday’s matchup will be the 35th meeting between the programs. The Razorbacks hold a 18-15-1 all-time series lead over the Bulldogs. The series is currently tied 8-8 in games played in Starkville, with the Bulldogs taking the last matchup at Davis Wade Stadium, 40-17 on Oct. 8, 2022.

3 – RB Ja’Quinden Jackson has made his case as one of the nation’s best running backs with three 100-yard rushing games and three multiple rushing touchdowns performances through Arkansas’ first seven games. The Utah transfer rushed for at least one touchdown in each of the first six games of the season, becoming the first Razorback to score a rushing touchdown in six consecutive games since RB Knile Davis accomplished the feat in 2010. Entering Saturday’s road game at Mississippi State, Jackson is second in the SEC in rushing touchdowns (10) and fourth in rushing yards (592) and rushing yards per game (84.6).

4 – WR Andrew Armstrong, who is averaging 107.7 yards receiving per game, is one of eight FBS players and one of only two SEC pass catchers averaging 100-plus yards receiving per game this season.

5 – Through seven games, Arkansas ranks fourth in the SEC and 22nd nationally in total offense. The Hogs are averaging 455.1 total yards of offense per game, including 176.4 rushing yards per game.

6 – Arkansas is one of nine programs to have the same offensive line unit start in every game this season, joining the likes of Indiana, Kansas, South Carolina, Texas State, Texas, Utah, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

7 – Since Sam Pittman’s first year as head coach in 2020, Arkansas has totaled 53 interceptions, fourth-most in the SEC behind only South Carolina (58), Georgia (55) and Alabama (54) during that span.

8 – WR Andrew Armstrong has caught a pass in 34 consecutive games and has recorded multiple receptions in 29 straight games since his 2021 season at Texas A&M-Commerce. Armstrong recorded his first touchdown reception of the season, courtesy of a 25-yard pass from Taylen Green at the 8:25 mark in the second quarter. His 34-game reception streak is tied for seventh-longest among all FBS receivers.

9 – The Razorbacks are 11-2 under Sam Pittman when scoring 40+ points and 15-1 when limiting opponents to less than 21 points.
