Since the Broncos are currently seeing their rookie quarterback, Bo Nix, making tremendous progress, particularly over the past month and a half, and is avoiding bad mistakes while also getting better at throwing the ball downfield, you have to wonder what, if anything, the team will do at the deadline. He was much more at ease in the pocket and was fantastic in Week 8.
Additionally, the Broncos’ wide receiver problems weren’t limited to Week 8. Due to drops and other errors, this squad has genuinely left hundreds of yards and even touchdowns on the field. That’s just a terrible situation for a rookie quarterback, and even if statistics don’t always tell the whole story, I can’t even begin to image the discussions we would have if Nix had the WR room for the Washington Commanders or the Chicago Bears.
I haven’t even touched on how dreadfully ineffective the Broncos’ tight end room has been this season, so we’ll see if they intend to take any action to support Bo Nix. The Broncos’ playmaking corps must be in the NFL’s worst five overall.
For the proper price, players like Adam Thielen, Tee Higgins, Evan Engram, David Njoku, and others might be available. Time is running out as the 2024 NFL Trade Deadline is just one week away. In Week 9, Diontae Johnson will play for the Baltimore Ravens, who will play the Denver Broncos.
The Broncos want Johnson to lose to the team for the second consecutive week.
