At the Thai Grand Prix, former MotoGP world champion Fabio Quartararo had a challenging weekend due to ongoing issues with his Yamaha M1’s front braking system.
After the race at the Buriram track, the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team rider expressed his frustrations: “I had a lot of problems with the front end, especially here, because we’re usually quite strong at braking in a straight line.”At the front, I also experienced a lot of locking.
Despite the challenges, Quartararo remained strong and resolved to learn more about his M1’s issues. The Frenchman chose to keep going on course despite the bike’s obvious damage: “But I think from the morning to the afternoon there was an improvement.”Despite the bike’s severe damage, I was determined to continue riding it in order to complete more laps and check whether the electronics had improved.
It should be mentioned that he was extremely competitive at the time of the disaster and even thought he may place third to seventh. He later expressed regret for the accident.
