The majority of football fans are already familiar with Lennon Miller.
The 18-year-old midfielder has been one of the highlights of the past two seasons and, despite his young age, is already among Motherwell’s best and most dependable players.
Miller, the son of former Scotland striker Lee, has already drawn a lot of interest, with Italian teams reportedly interested and English and Crystal Palace clubs strongly linked.
He appears to be one of the next big things coming off the Scottish football conveyor belt, no matter where he ends up or when it happens. Not the Old Firm had him in our list of the Premiership’s top central midfielders.
Miller, the star of Motherwell, is noticed by Martin Tyler.
Outside of Scottish football circles, the Scotland under-21s star is now receiving attention.
Martin Tyler is a legendary football pundit who has covered the Premier League and Champions League for decades.
It’s reasonable to assume that he has observed numerous players at the top of the game.
He is still employed at the age of 79 and has developed feelings for Miller. He saw Celtic play the Steelmen over the weekend while researching them for their upcoming Champions League match.
Additionally, he stated to The Joy of Football Podcast: “It’s possible that many viewers and listeners are unfamiliar with Lennon Miller. Sincerely, it wasn’t until recently that I became aware of Lennon Miller.
“I’m working on Celtic in order to get ready for a Champions League job in a few days. I noticed this young man as they were playing Motherwell.
He is 18 years old and made his Motherwell debut in a Scottish League Cup tie a few years ago at the age of sixteen and six days.
He has already participated in 50 games, scored six goals, and will likely score a few more as he moves forward in his game.
He hit the post and then the bar with shots from 18 to 25 yards out at 0-0, giving Kasper Schmeichel a serious beating. The goals would have to be replayed repeatedly if they were just a millimetre off.
He takes corners and free kicks. At six feet, he is also tall enough to pose a threat to other people’s set pieces.
“I think he looks great, and after hearing Sky commentator Gary Weaver praise him, he suggested that he might be the next big thing in Scottish football.”
“At eighteen, he has played a lot of football, but he still has a lot to do. I think he looks good, so I’ll keep an eye out for him, and I advise you to do the same.
Miller’s Motherwell statistics and form
Young athletes frequently have a breakthrough season before a slight decline. Not Miller.
With two goals and three assists in the Premiership and two more in the League Cup this season, the young player is continuously improving.
With four major opportunities, he is tied for fourth place in the league, and with 19 chances, he is tied for sixth place.
Additionally, he is ranked third in those charts with those three assists.
