AFL Growth and Leadership: Alex Pearce Examines 2024
On Monday, December 2, from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm, the Fremantle Football Club will present an engaging and educational Teacher Professional Development Day. The purpose of this event is to give teachers useful information about the Club’s school program options and useful implementation tactics for the classroom and on the field.
Details of the Event
Classroom teachers, special education personnel, and administrators from elementary and secondary schools are among the many educators for whom the professional development day is intended. Teachers from all throughout Western Australia are welcome to participate, since regional schools are also encouraged to do so.
A thorough explanation of the Fremantle Dockers’ educational program offerings, including a rundown of the Digital Schools Hub, will be provided to attendees. Teachers will be able to successfully incorporate these materials into their curricula with this information.
Keynote Addresses and Special Visitors
The lineup of speakers at the event is strong and includes:
In addition to AFLW Head Coach Lisa Webb, former captain and current AFLW backline coach Kara Antonio, and former AFL men’s players Josh Corbett and Roger Hayden, the keynote speaker was Joe Brierty, Executive General Manager of Football.
These presenters will impart their knowledge and experiences, offering insightful perspectives on teamwork, leadership, and personal growth within the realm of professional sports.
Sessions of Practice
During practical lessons conducted on Victor George Kailis Oval at Fremantle’s Cockburn Arc facilities, participants will get the chance to participate in hands-on activities. These workshops will show how to incorporate different AFL-related activities into physical education classes and other educational settings.
Opportunities for Networking
Teachers will have plenty of opportunity to network with peers, exchange stories, and share ideas on how to create engaging learning environments for children at the event. In order to promote cooperation and creativity in education, this networking component is essential.
Tour of the Facility
A tour of the Fremantle Football Club’s facilities, which provides an inside look at one of Western Australia’s top sports organisations, will also be provided to attendees.
Teachers who attend will be prepared to use the Fremantle Football Club’s reputation and the power of sport to inspire and motivate their students.
