Duran Duran’s *Danse Macabre Halloween Party* took over New York City on October 31st, with an unforgettable celebration at Madison Square Garden. The event was a sold-out show that not only featured the band’s thrilling performance but also an exclusive after-party at The Stranger, attracting a glamorous crowd. Among the attendees was iconic performer Amanda Lepore, who helped bring the Halloween-themed extravaganza to life.
The *Danse Macabre Halloween Party* was first envisioned in 2022 and has since become a key part of Duran Duran’s 16th studio album, *Danse Macabre*. The album combines fresh material with haunting renditions of classic tracks, reimagining songs like “Nightboat,” “Love Voudou,” and “Secret Oktober,” along with covers of Billie Eilish’s “Bury a Friend” and The Rolling Stones’ “Paint It Black.” The concept for the Halloween event blended the band’s signature style with a dark, whimsical flair, making for a unique night of music and celebration.
Duran Duran’s bandmates—Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, and Nick Rhodes—were dressed by renowned stylist B. Åkerlund, while Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor also worked with stylist Jeffrey Bryant for their looks. In addition to the core members, guitarist Dom Brown, saxophonist Simon Willescroft, and backing vocalists Rachael O’Connor and Anna Ross were also styled by Bryant, creating a cohesive and striking visual theme for the evening.
The party was supported by Xerjoff, the official perfumer of *Danse Macabre*, adding another layer of sensory indulgence to the evening’s festivities. Special thanks were given to The Stranger for helping bring the event to life.
Exclusive photos from the concert and after-party provide a glimpse into the vibrant atmosphere of the night, showcasing the band’s iconic performance and the high-energy celebration that followed. The event captured the essence of Duran Duran’s creative spirit, blending their love for music with their flair for theatricality, all under the eerie charm of Halloween.
