Dundee have held discussions with Hibs, St Johnstone and St Mirren over hosting their twice-postponed fixture v Rangers, according to the Scottish Daily Mail.

The newspaper reported in its print edition on 12 April, Page 74 that they have even asked St Mirren to state how much it would cost to host the game.

While the option of playing at a neutral venue is now on the table, Philippe Clement revealed that it was something that was already put forth by Gers over the past week.

The ongoing uncertainty surrounding the fixture creates unnecessary complications and wastes valuable time for all parties involved.

Despite Rangers’ suggestion to play the match at a neutral venue, Dundee hesitated, causing delays and logistical challenges.

The twice-postponed fixture has been rescheduled for April 17 at Dens Park, but concerns persist due to the pitch’s poor condition and unfavourable weather forecasts.

Dundee’s indecision and reluctance to accept Gers’ proposal have prolonged the scheduling issue, potentially impacting Clement’s side’s preparation and performance in subsequent matches.

Furthermore, the SPFL must now consider alternative venues, which may further disrupt plans and require additional negotiations
