Ipswich Town want defender
Harwood-Bellis would be an ideal signing for Ipswich if they were able to land him from Manchester City.
The Stockport-born man would suit Kieran McKenna’s style of play and has a bright future ahead of him in the game.
He has risen up through the academy ranks at the Etihad Stadium and has played eight times for the first-team of his parent club so far in his career.
Prior to his temporary switch to Southampton last September, he had spells away from City at Blackburn Rovers, Anderlecht, Stoke City and Burnley.
Harwood-Bellis spent the last campaign with the Clarets and helped them win the second tier title under the guidance of Vincent Kompany.
He is aiming to get promoted again this term with Southampton before heading back to Pep Guardiola’s side in the summer.
His long-term future at City is up in the air and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him leave permanently at some point soon.
Ipswich’s main focus right now is on going up and they drew 1-1 at home to Middlesbrough this weekend.
McKenna’s men are back in action on 27th April with an away trip to Hull City before ending the season with fixtures against Coventry City and Huddersfield Town.
