NEWS UPDATE: No, Celtic do not face “nightmare” scenario after “remarkable” Ibrox development

Celtic fans beware, if ever there was an article written that is a total contradiction of reality, this latest “headline spinner” from Football Insider has to be it.

Published yesterday, the article has the most deceptive headline you could possibly read.

This really is the ultimate in clickbait garbage.

How anybody clicked publish on this article with a straight face is beyond me.

As usual, it’s pinned as an exclusive, with resident “football expert” Alan Hutton named as the author.

The irony of all of this, is that the article, which says Celtic are facing a “nightmare scenario” was published the morning after the Ibrox side were left facing a real nightmare scenario.

Culminating in Wednesday’s 0-0 draw away to Dundee.

Which handed a serious advantage to Celtic.

I recently wrote an article on the deceptive way many websites use bullshit headlines to draw readers in.

But I have to hand it to Football Insider.

The article I highlighted at the outset of this piece has to be read to be believed.

Actually, I’ll correct myself, you’ll have to read it in order to believe how bad it actually is.

Now, I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one.

I’m going to say that Alan Hutton gave his “expert opinion” before the result of the Dundee game.

It’s the only way the contents of the article could possibly be plausible.

Otherwise it makes no rational sense whatsoever.

Here’s the opening paragraph:
