That’s according to La Colina de Nervión, who say if the defender is valued at around €3.5m then the prospects of a permanent switch are probably high.Mosquera has been on loan with the Spanish side since January, when he elected to leave Wolves after returning from a loan spell with Cincinnati at the end of December. He’s been a regular for Villarreal since, making nine appearances in La Liga and two in the Europa League and generally earning positive reviews. That’s at least what La Colina de Nervión say, explaining that Mosquera has ‘made the locker room feel great’ since his arrival and ‘convinced’ manager Marcelino as well. He’s been a regular under him and with numerous players set to leave the club this summer, a permanent move would make sense.Mosquera has already made his stance clear on that front, stating on several occasions and publically too, that he wants the move and will position himself in whatever way that makes that easier. That could be facilitated for him by his current market value, which they say is around €3.5m, which would be seen as ‘affordable’ for Villarreal. The question is whether Wolves would want that fee or more, with them needing sales last summer to help in terms of PSR and unlikely to want to sell on the cheap in future after that either. There’s potentially a deal there to be done, though, with Mosquera keen on the switch and Villarreal open to it too, albeit at a price they like. But €3.5m? Surely not.
