Liam Rosenior has left Hull City after the team was unable to advance to the Championship play-offs.
The Tigers’ last-day 1-0 loss to relegation-threatened Plymouth Argyle put them in seventh position in the Championship this season, three points behind Norwich City, who secured the final play-off spot. Hopes of finishing in the top six vanished as they could only muster one victory from their final four games, although Rosenior had supervised significant improvements at the MKM Stadium.
Hull were fifteenth in the last campaign, and Rosenior has assembled a youthful and dynamic team that spent a significant portion of the year in the play-off picture. The 39-year-old’s efforts were acknowledged when he and Daniel Farke were named on the Championship’s three-man shortlist for Manager of the Season; however, they were defeated by Kieran McKenna of Ipswich Town.
Rosenior only signed a new three-year contract with Hull in December, but it appears that he may be leaving after only five months due to talks with owner Acun Ilicali. Although the club has not officially confirmed the information, numerous reports state that a decision has been made.

It is already believed that the MKM Stadium’s administrators are looking for a replacement, hoping to do so as soon as possible to give them time to get ready for the upcoming campaign. Hull will likely contend for a play-off spot once more, although they will be without important loanees like Tyler Morton, Liam Delap, and Fabio Carvalho.
When Rosenior arrived at Elland Road in April, he witnessed his team play well against Leeds, even though they lost 3-1. The Tigers controlled the ball and gave Farke’s team a lot of problems, but they were punished because Delap wasn’t up front because of an injury.
Leeds knows that any chance of promotion is dependent on the play-offs, so they will try to avoid having to deal with the new management the following season. They play Norwich in the semi-finals, who beat Hull to finish sixth, and then maybe play Southampton or West Brom at Wembley.
