Michael Craig, a midfielder for Reading FC, has been linked to a summer move to Portsmouth, a freshly promoted Championship team.
After finishing 2023–24 League One as champions with 97 points, Pompey achieved their eagerly anticipated return to the Championship.
According to Football Insider, John Mousinho’s team will surely try to bolster their roster over the summer, and they are interested in adding Craig.
Craig came to the Royals from Tottenham Hotspur in June 2022, and before making his first-team debut this season, he played for the under-21 squad.
The 21-year-old defensive midfielder played in 28 league games and 36 matches overall across all competitions.
Craig had a difficult time getting regular playing time at the end of the season despite his strong performances throughout. This was because manager Ruben Selles decided to combine Lewis Wing centrally with rookie midfielder Ben Elliott.
