My goal is to emulate my dad, Narsey.

Raheel Narsey, 16, wants to represent his country, Tahiti, in the OFC Under-16 World Cup Qualifiers, while living and playing abroad.

The Australian-based player Narsey, who represents Peninsula Power FC, is the son of former Suva and national representative Ritesh Narsey.

Raheel claims that his father is his hero and that he wants to emulate him.

“I want to play with the local guys in Fiji to see how things work out.” However, I have had such a positive experience with them thus far, and I am eager for more.

He arrived in Suva early this week and was eager to get started.

The young player continues, saying he’s having fun with the squad.

Among the four international athletes fighting for a berth in the national team is Narsey.

There are 38 members as of right now, and only 26 will be announced in the final team the following month.

The qualifying rounds are scheduled for the end of July.
