Before his return, Idah will have one final appearance for Celtic in the upcoming Scottish Cup Final next Saturday.
During his time at Celtic Park, the striker made a significant impact by scoring eight goals in 15 Scottish Premiership matches, which included crucial late winners against Motherwell and Hibs in the latter part of the season. Looking back, his goals won Celtic the title.
Despite his successful stint and valuable contributions under Brendan Rodgers, there has been no clear decision on converting Idah’s loan into a permanent move this summer.
There is no option to buy included in the loan, and it’s thought that a fee of over £6 million will be needed to secure him permanently.
Additionally, Norwich confirmed that Sydney van Hooijdonk, son of former Celtic legend Pierre van Hooijdonk, has concluded his loan spell from Bologna. The 24-year-old Dutch striker was previously linked with a move to Celtic in January, following his own loan term’s end.
