After their individual loan periods ended, Emiliano Marcondes, Myziane Maolida, and Will Fish bid Hibs farewell.
After the Easter Road team’s 1-1 draw with Livingston in West Lothian on Sunday marked the end of the 2023–24 Scottish Premiership season, it won’t be long until the club releases the traditional “retained list,” which details which players are departing and who is staying.
However, Myziane posted on social media, ahead of schedule, saying, “A very rewarding season, despite the ups and downs.” I will always be appreciative of the warmth and welcome I experienced here. “Thank you Hibernian Football Club for everything!”
The Comoros international is highly valued by the team and supporters for his skills and 11 goals since joining on loan from Hertha Berlin in January, but it is unclear if he will make a return to the capital. However, it should come as no surprise that the player has expressed a desire to compete at the top level. Given his salary expectations, Hibs may find it difficult to reach an agreement that would allow him to return to EH7. He stated, “These six months with Hibs have given me a lot for my career, for everything,” following the draw at the Tony Macaroni Arena. I am appreciative of the team, the coaches, Nick, the entire personnel, and now Dave. I want to express my gratitude to everyone at the club; they were really helpful to me. Everyone on staff, the players, and the fans gave me a hearty welcome. I would like to express my gratitude because I had a great time playing football here.
Compared to Myziane, Marcondes didn’t leave as much of an impression on the pitch, but he still scored important goals against Hearts and Aberdeen in addition to a spectacular free kick against St Johnstone.
The summer contract of the Dane expires in the summer. He wrote: “Hibernian Football Club, I appreciate how you’ve welcomed me. It’s not always easy to return from an injury and join a new team, club, and city, but a lot of people in Edinburgh have helped me adjust, so I’m grateful to the players, staff, and supporters.
“I’ve learned a lot even though this has been a challenging season and the football hasn’t always been ideal. to play in a new league with new players and a different culture, and I think this team has a lot of promise going forward. I want the best for you, good luck, and I’ll see you later.”
Marcondes is anticipated to play in preseason with the Cherries in Bournemouth before determining his next course of action.
Fish will return to his parent club, Manchester United, after serving two full seasons on loan in green and white. The centre defender apologised to fans and shared his opinions on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“This season wasn’t good enough for a club like this, and for that, I can only apologise. I swear, I’ve had an amazing time playing for Hibs and have made some amazing memories in the process. Better days are on the horizon! Best wishes for the future! Once more, Hibernian FC, thank you.”
At the end of the 2021–2022 season, Robbie Hamilton made his senior debut. In the meantime, he is also going on. “After 11 years, it’s time to say goodbye to my boyhood club,” the midfielder, who spent time on loan at East Fife this season and Stirling Albion last season, wrote on Instagram. I want to express my sincere gratitude to all the players, coaches, and staff who have supported me along the way and helped me realise my ambition.
“I have had the opportunity to represent this club at all levels, from the academy to the first team, and I will always cherish my Easter Road debut.” I am incredibly appreciative of the chances I have been given over the years, but it is now time for me to move forward and continue on my adventure. I am grateful, Hibernian FC.”
Lewis Stevenson and Paul Hanlon have already announced their departures, and more departures are anticipated this summer.
