Levski Sofia defender Jose Cordoba has told friends he would like to move to Rangers this summer, sources tell Football Insider.
Cordoba, 22, has an offer on the table from Norwich City but has let it be known he will turn down the English Championship side in favour of a move to Ibrox.
Sources say a deal with Rangers for the central defender is now at an “advanced” stage after extensive negotiations over the last month.

The defender, whose contract runs until 2028, made 27 appearances in the Bulgarian First League last season, helping his side to a fourth-placed finish.
Since arriving at Levski Sofia in 2021, initially on loan before his deal was made permanent, the centre-back has made 89 appearances for the club, winning a Bulgarian Cup.Cordoba is also a regular international for the Panama national team, with 10 caps to his name, having started each of his country’s last eight games.
Aged just 22, the defender already has international and trophy-winning experience under his belt.
Alan Hutton told Football Insider that Gers could accept offers for Connor Goldson this summer, while Leon Balogun will see his contract expire at the end of the season unless a new deal is offered.
