The first Oliver Glasner-era signing has been made by Crystal Palace, and they have a medical booking.
LondonWorld has learned that Crystal Palace has demonstrated extraordinary determination to defeat Manchester United and Atletico Madrid in order to get Real Betis defender Chadi Riad. A cost of £12 million has been agreed upon for the 20-year-old Morocco international’s medical, which is scheduled for next week.
Riad, who has already made two appearances for his nation, went from Barcelona to Real Betis last summer, where he played 30 games and made a huge impression as one of the game’s rising talents in Spain.
As he approaches the last two years of his contract this summer, Palace and England defender Marc Guehi has drawn interest from a number of teams and has been linked to Manchester United.
