Sydney star midfielder Chad Warner is not in a rush to extend his Swans contract, even though his native state of Western Australia is becoming more and more interested. The 23-year-old has not yet committed to a long-term contract, as his value has increased dramatically with the top-ranked Swans sitting at 10-1 going into their round 12 bye.
Sydney, who supposedly have a contract on the table for the midfield player, is concerned.
Warner has a further 18 months left on his contract.
The postponed conversations have given West Coast time to prepare their offer.
