Aston Villa are currently active in the transfer market, with two players nearing departures and two potential arrivals.
The Villans are reportedly negotiating with Juventus to sell Douglas Luiz, with Weston McKennie and Samuel Iling-Junior potentially heading to Villa Park.
Villa are also in talks with Premier League rivals Chelsea regarding Jhon Duran, who is a target for Enzo Maresca’s side.
Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the discussions between Villa and Juventus. He reported that Luiz has agreed on personal terms with Juventus. In exchange, Aston Villa are prepared to accept McKennie, Iling-Junior, and a €20 million (£17 million) fee.
Romano also noted that McKennie is interested in joining Villa but needs to clarify his exit details from Juventus before finalizing the deal.
Aston Villa are set to acquire talented Juventus duo Weston McKennie and Samuel Iling-Junior.
With Villa set to compete in the Champions League next season, strengthening their squad is crucial. Although losing Luiz is unfortunate, it will help with profit and sustainability rules.
Additionally, Villa will gain two top talents in McKennie and Iling-Junior, significantly boosting their squad for the next season.
McKennie has been described as a “conqueror of balls” with “excellent skills in game construction and a threat on set pieces.” Meanwhile, Iling-Junior is considered ‘one of the most promising young footballers of his generation’ and an ‘assist machine.’
Things appear to be progressing well, so the official confirmation may be imminent.
