Bojan Miovski’s deal to Rangers is almost certain as a £7 million update surfaces.

Rangers have undoubtedly been priced out of a deal for Bojan Miovski, with a fresh fee proposed for the Aberdeen star. According to a source from May [FotMob, 23 May], the Gers were considering bringing the North Macedonia star to the club, which would have been a club record sale for Aberdeen.

Since then, however, journalist Alan Nixon (17 June) has revealed that Serie A side Bologna is interested in signing Miovski this summer and could spend up to £7 million for him. The story goes on to say that the club may provide him Champions League play, and the attacker “could be tempted” to leave Scotland. According to Nixon, a number of clubs are apparently interested in Miovski’s transfer, with Birmingham City, who were relegated to League One last season, among them.

However, despite their enormous budget, Bologna’s offering is “greater” than the Blues’. Why Rangers should focus on other targets Although Miovski contributed 30 goals in all competitions for Aberdeen last season, Phillipe Clement could pursue a variety of alternative options this summer.

Theres no doubt that striker is an area of the Gers’ team which needs to be upgraded thanks to the departure of Kemar Roofe.

Numerous names have been associated with the Glasgow giants, but Albion Rrahmani and Hamza Igmane have received the greatest attention in relation to Rangers’ pursuit.

In fact, on 17 June, the Rapid Bucharest president confirmed that the club had received “an offer” for their star man but it wasn’t yet at the “level and value” that they desired. Although a club wasn’t named, Rangers are the most likely candidates as they have been the most heavily linked with the Kosovo international. Although numbers wise Igmane and Rrahmani fall short of Miovski, £7m is a lot to spend on one player when Rangers need to make several more signings this summer.
