Leeds United dealt blow as star ‘likely’ to make Premier League move amid Southampton and Leicester City links

Joe Rodon is reportedly expected to leave Tottenham Hotspur for another Premier League club after completing his loan spell at Leeds United.

The 26-year-old was a defensive stalwart for Leeds last season, forming strong partnerships with Pascal Struijk and Ethan Ampadu. He made a total of 50 appearances for the club, with his final match being the Championship play-off final at Wembley.

Leeds are reportedly eager to bring Rodon back to West Yorkshire, but Football Insider suggests he is likely to move to a Premier League club instead.

The newly-promoted Premier League teams Leicester City, Ipswich Town, and Southampton have all expressed interest in the Wales international.

However, if he doesn’t return to Elland Road, it would be a significant disappointment for fans hoping to see him in Leeds colors again.

Rodon might not be the only player changing teams for the 2024/25 season, as several Leeds players have been linked with transfers. Crysencio Summerville is reportedly attracting interest, and there is also speculation about midfielder Ilia Gruev. If Summerville leaves, Leeds is likely to receive a substantial fee, which would help the club stay within financial fair play rules and could fund new additions to the squad.
