Reading fan group Sell Before We Dai has added a new billboard message in their ongoing campaign against owner Dai Yongge. Established 12 months ago with the goal of ousting the Chinese businessman, the group has employed various protest methods, including controversial in-game disruption tactics.
Since September, the club has been on the market, with interested parties coming and going.
Parties remain locked in talks with the hierarchy, hoping to finalize a deal before the season starts, but this seems increasingly unlikely with each passing day.
Rumors about the potential folding of the women’s team have reignited fears among supporters, prompting Sell Before We Dai to take action. A range of billboards and anti-Dai messages have been placed at the town’s train station, aiming to catch the attention of those entering and leaving the town via rail.
Having already closed down two professional clubs, Roselare in Belgium and Rehne in China, the group has implored football authorities to ensure the Dai family isn’t allowed to “make it a hat trick.”
