Rangers ‘deal has been agreed’ as transfer that went quiet gets green light

Rangers are hoping to ramp up their summertime hiring efforts, and Nils Koppen is putting in a lot of extra effort to bring in fresh talent.

Hamza Igamane, a Moroccan international, is expected to be the next player to join Philippe Clement’s team, taking the place of Marmar Roofe, who left at the end of his contract.

An update on the 21-year-old’s circumstances has been released, as he seemed to be on the verge of being revealed by the Rangers prior to receiving the five-star Ibrox tour.

Rangers supporters may not be familiar with Igamane’s name or play style, but then again, neither was Alfredo Morelos.

Although it’s unfair and too soon to make analogies, it’s difficult to ignore them when you watch the YouTube compilations and observe his playing technique.

As Rangers approach, the problem with Hamza Igmane is resolved.

David Edgar assured Heart and Hand listeners during his daily update on Tuesday, July 2nd, that there is nothing to be concerned about.

“Hamza Igamane is one player who appears to be arriving this week following a delay with his visa.

His visa application wasn’t particularly unique, but as anybody familiar with bureaucracy knows, there are papers to complete and documents to stamp.

“Though it may take a little longer than you would like, everything is finished today, and we anticipate Hamza Igamane signing in full. A £1.5 million signing bonus has been agreed upon between Hamza and his club, FAR Rabat.

“That includes some add-ons, but the initial payment for him was £1.5 million.”

Igamane fits the Rangers trading model perfectly.

Rangers should be signing players like this more frequently.

It’s not very costly, but there’s enough data to say that Igamane has the potential to grow into something exceptional.

Even the best attackers in the world didn’t start off firing goals at the rate that would make them the best in the world; Igamane has contributed 24 goals in 58 senior appearances for Morocco.

Up until they reached Igamane’s age, even players like Cristiano Ronaldo could only muster one goal every three games.

Rangers ran out of goals in the previous season.

Because Roofe was never able to fully recover from his two freak injuries and Danilo suffered two more, Cyriel Dessers had to shoulder the majority of the load by himself.

There was never a backup plan, and Philippe Clement hardly ever had two healthy strikers available.

Igamane may not always be the starting striker, but he will undoubtedly be close behind the person who is.
