Bears’ arrival has Simone Biles “extremely excited.” Jonathan Owens during the Olympic Games in Paris
Safety Jonathan Owens of the Chicago Bears has been given permission to skip training camp in order to see his wife, Simone Biles, compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. “The Bears are actually granting him a couple days off from training camp, so he’ll be there, yes,” Biles stated to USA Today. “For just a short time.”
Over the weekend, Biles, who qualified for her third Olympic gymnastics squad for the United States, wed Owens in 2023. Despite the fact that the pair has been together since 2020, Owens will never have the opportunity to see Biles compete on the largest platform in the world. Because of COVID restrictions, spectators were not permitted in the Tokyo Games in 2021. Three days prior to the Olympic Opening Ceremony, on July 23, bears training camp gets underway. “Anytime we can show up for one another in support, we just get super excited because our schedules don’t align that much,” Biles stated. “So whenever it does, it’s really important for the both of us to show up in support.” After spending one season with the Green Bay Packers, Owens, 28, signed a contract with the Bears this offseason…..
