Sky Sports pundit Kris Boyd believes that Tyler Dibling’s time at Southampton may be short-lived following another strong showing in their defeat to Arsenal.

Shortly after, the Exeter-born winger made his senior football debut, appearing in the EFL Cup in 2023.
While Dibling spent much of last season on the bench during Southampton’s EFL Championship campaign, he became a regular starter following the team’s promotion to the Premier League. His first top-flight start came against Manchester United, and since then, he has made four consecutive starts, the latest being against Arsenal, where his performance drew praise from Scottish football pundit Kris Boyd.

Among the many clubs reportedly eyeing Tyler Dibling, Manchester United and Newcastle have emerged as two of the most interested. Manchester United’s transfer chief, Dan Ashworth, is especially eager to bring Dibling to Old Trafford and has reportedly kept him on his radar for several years. Despite this interest, journalist Ben Jacobs emphasized that Southampton remains “confident” in Dibling’s “commitment” to the club. However, if Southampton’s form continues to struggle, Dibling might start considering a future elsewhere.

Despite Dibling’s impressive performances, Southampton remain winless in their first seven games back in the Premier League and are stuck in the relegation zone. “Tyler [Dibling] had some really good moments driving through the middle of the pitch, but it didn’t quite come together because he got caught up or something.”
He added, “If we’re placing all our hopes on an 18-year-old playing wide-right, then we have bigger problems than I initially thought.”

However, the Gunners swiftly turned the game around, leaving the Saints empty-handed once again.
