ALARMING: Celtic face Saudi and Rangers transfer fight

Celtic face Saudi transfer fight, Australian international linked, Rangers target Colombian winger – rumour mill

Celtic’s pursuit of Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir may face hurdles as reports suggest that Saudi club Al-Ahli has joined the race for his signature. Initially, Celtic’s CEO Michael Nicholson had reportedly reached out to Trabzonspor regarding a potential £7.5 million move for the 28-year-old goalkeeper. However, recent reports indicate that Al-Ahli has also expressed interest in the Turkish international. With their significant financial resources, Al-Ahli could potentially make an offer that outmatches Celtic’s, posing a challenge for the Scottish club. Cakir is among several goalkeepers linked with Celtic as they seek a replacement for the retiring Joe Hart at the end of the season.

Celtic is reportedly eyeing Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir as a potential addition for their squad. With Joe Hart set to retire at the end of the season, Celtic is in search of a new first-choice goalkeeper. Other names linked with the club include Liverpool’s Caoimhin Kelleher, Werder Bremen’s Michael Zetterer, and now Middlesbrough’s Tom Glover. Glover, a 26-year-old Australian international, has attracted interest from Celtic, among other clubs such as Copenhagen, Rangers, and Newcastle United. Despite making 20 appearances for Middlesbrough this season, he currently serves as the second choice behind Seny Diang.
