Ange Postecoglou uses Celtic examples to explain to Spurs how trophies are won

Ange Postecoglou has explained to Tottenham and their supporters how he approaches being a winner by drawing on his first season at Celtic. The former Celtic manager says, via The Spurs Express, that while he is aware of the rivalry between Spurs and Arsenal, it shouldn’t stop them from competing for championships on their own terms. Ange clarified that Tottenham can prevent Arsenal from winning trophies by winning them themselves, as he did at Celtic.

“I understand, and what’s up? It was the same conversation when I first started working at Celtic. Remember that Rangers had already won the previous year and Celtic had not, which is really unusual for that football team, when I took over, Ange stated. “They’ve gone from having trebles to having not a single trophy, and there was a lot of discussion—some internal as well—about the Rangers’ actions when I first arrived.

I was also fairly constant in stating, “We have to worry about ourselves,” and it would be documented in public. Concern yourself just with yourself. Simply strive to be your best self. And as I’ve mentioned several times, if you run your own race, glance around to see where you finish at the finish line. Ange said, “Don’t worry about what the person next to you is doing. And I’ve been truthful about that ever since. I was up there as well. Since the Rangers were ahead at the time, I felt there was an excessive amount of interest with what was occurring there, so I believed it was incredibly essential up there.

If that’s what we were always fixated on, we would never capture them because you can’t control that. “You have no influence over what another club does. Do you wish to prevent another team from being victorious? Take it home! That’s the response. That does not imply that you wish for them to fail. I fully understand that. It’s a lesson that Tottenham and their supporters will need to absorb if they want to develop into a team that truly takes home significant awards.
