Aston Villa in positive talks to sign Everton ace as Goodison exit also in pipeline

Everton: Lewis Dobbin surely set for transfer exit in January after snub

Aston Villa are considering a move for Lewis Dobbin, while Everton are reportedly negotiating to acquire Tim Iroegbunam from them this summer, as per The Athletic.

According to The Athletic (June 19), Aston Villa have engaged in “positive talks” regarding the transfer of the 21-year-old Everton winger.

Iroegbunam has been linked with a potential £10m transfer to Goodison Park [Daily Mail], which The Athletic describes as a separate transaction.

Everton might sell Lewis Dobbin to Aston Villa.

Dobbin has already scored a competitive goal for Everton and could see increased playing time next season under Sean Dyche.

He has had a loan spell at Derby County and could now be poised for a permanent move.

With the financial challenges Premier League clubs are facing this summer, swap deals are gaining popularity.

Although The Athletic states that both deals are independent of each other, it’s possible Aston Villa could look to negotiate a deal for Iroegbunam that involves Dobbin moving to Goodison Park.

Whether Dyche will approve of this arrangement remains uncertain, given the potential limitations on signings this summer.

Dobbin could prove to be a valuable squad member next season, particularly for his speed and direct play off the bench.

It remains unclear whether Iroegbunam will join or if the winger will depart, but Everton certainly face a decision this summer.
