Blackburn Rovers are reportedly looking to revive their interest in Fulham winger Martial Godo during the January transfer window. Rovers had attempted to sign the 21-year-old in the summer but were unsuccessful. According to journalist Alan Nixon, Blackburn is expected to lead the race for Godo when the window reopens.
Godo spent last season on loan at Wigan Athletic in League One, where he impressed with four goals in 33 appearances under manager Shaun Maloney. Blackburn sees him as a versatile option who can play on both wings, adding depth to their attacking lineup for the second half of the season.
Although Godo has not yet made his Premier League debut for Fulham, the club extended his contract until 2028, reflecting their long-term interest in his development. He has expressed his ambition to break into Fulham’s first team but may welcome a move for more regular game time.
Blackburn Rovers, under Jon Dahl Tomasson, have had a strong start to the 2024/25 Championship season and are keen to strengthen their squad for a promotion push. Godo’s addition could provide extra firepower and flexibility in their pursuit of Premier League football.
