
Among the candidates for the role are former Celtic players Jonny Hayes and Charlie Mulgrew, who could potentially return to Parkhead in a coaching capacity.
Hayes, currently 36, has been involved in coaching duties with Aberdeen’s academy, specifically working with the Under-16 squad, while still playing for the team.
Charlie Mulgrew, 38, is also considered a strong candidate for the coaching position. Having retired from professional football last September, Mulgrew is looking to step into a coaching role. [RecordSport]
He’s been to Lennoxtown this season to watch and learn from Brendan Rodgers this season, while also taking a trip to Premier League side Brighton to learn from their coaches.
There’s a lot of reshuffling going on in the Celtic ranks, particularly in the youth side. Last week we saw Darren O’Dea switch positions from the B Team and become the Professional Player Pathway Manager.
