Luke Berry, a midfielder for Charlton, thinks Nathan Jones will remember his brace in Tuesday night’s 2-2 draw with Barnsley before Saturday’s match against Wrexham.
Davis Keillor-Dunn, a forward for Barnsley, gave the Addicks a 1-0 lead in the first half.
Terry Taylor was replaced by Berry in the 62nd minute, and Berry scored in the 77th.
When the former Luton player scored in the 93rd minute, he believed he had gained all three points, but Max Watters of the home team levelled a minute later.
On Saturday, Jones’ team will host Wrexham at The Valley.
Berry said to CharltonTV, “We believe we had the winner so late on.”
“I’m not sure what it was, but they’re equalising 30 or 40 seconds later.
“A point away [from home] is hardly the worst outcome, but it’s heartbreaking.
“I’ll continue to score goals because I enjoy doing it. That makes four goals for the season.
I enjoy sniffing off [shots] from Godders, TC, and Miles in an attempt to determine where they drop.
Fortunately, two of them succeeded. I hope it has given the management something to think about because I always want to be the first.
“Trying to assist the team in achieving results is the most important thing. We haven’t lost and have gained a point in this game yet.
