There is one week till the English Football League awards ceremony will recognise the Championship manager of the season. Daniel Farke, Leeds United’s manager, is up against Kieran McKenna of Ipswich Town and Liam Rosenior of Hull City for the award.
Norwich City defeated the Tractor Boys 1-0 at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon, denting their prospects of finishing in the top two at the expense of the Whites. It was a disappointing outcome for Town, who are chasing back-to-back promotions.
Speaking on Sky Sports, pundit Chris Sutton said: “It’s a sore one for Ipswich. Norwich is a derby game, but the key is what happens next and how they react.Princess Andre breaks the stillness with four nice words as dad. Peter and wife Emily welcome a baby
“I was astonished in the interview when he [McKenna] suggested the players appeared exhausted. It was a derby game, and the squad and players needed to get up for it.
“They have had an excellent season. He’s my manager of the season, regardless of how he got out of League One. He’s been fantastic. It is now up to us to see it through, and we are in a race against time.”
Sutton is enjoying the promotion race, adding, “I believe everyone anticipated Leicester to get automatic. Leeds have been an incredible story, and they will always be a contender.
“Ipswich has been the dark horse. They had the opportunity (against Norwich) but did not seize it.
