Farhad Moshiri, the owner of Everton, is currently looking into other takeover candidates after 777 Partners was unable to present enough proof to close a deal.
According to financial analyst Kieran Maguire, who spoke with Football Insider exclusively, Moshiri had “no choice” except to look at alternative takeover opportunities.
In September 2023, 777 Partners and Moshiri reached an agreement to purchase the majority of Everton for £500 million. However, the US company has not yet received Premier League permission.
Football Insider said that Moshiri ended a possible buyout agreement with 777 Partners last week, leaving it open to new buyers.
It is known that several US organisations have been monitoring the takeover situation and are interested in reaching an arrangement.
The Everton takeover is available to additional bids as negotiations with Moshiri begin.
According to Maguire, Moshiri is now thinking about other options because the agreement with 777 seems to be falling through.
two hours priorMaguire informed Sean Fisher of Football Insider, “It will come as no surprise to any observer that Farhad Moshiri is now considering alternative options to 777 Partners and holding talks.”
“Josh Wander and company have had plenty of time to show the Premier League that they have the money, but they have consistently fallen short.
“While 777 have provided a lot of interim finance, the lack of progress in terms of the takeover means that Moshiri has had no choice other than to consider new options.“
