Ahead of their match against Blackpool this afternoon, Reading dramatically unveiled their new home uniform for the 2024–25 League One campaign.
For the final day of the 2023–24 season, a season-high audience of nearly 20,000 flocked to the SCL Stadium to watch the team play Blackpool. Everyone was taken aback by the club’s surprise unveiling of a new uniform.
The campaign’s shirt included the distinctive Reading skyscrapers, although it is no longer blue and white hooped as is customary.
Choosing to embrace the element of surprise, no indications or teases were offered, and to the joy of the fans, the teams emerged wearing the new uniform after warming up in their training tops.
