Breaking News: Hereford linked with Birmingham City talent player.

Released Birmingham City man to join new club managed by Blues hero - Birmingham Live

Tate Campbell, a former midfielder for Birmingham City, has been strongly connected to HEREFORD.

Bulls manager Paul Caddis acknowledged the team has added a midfield player, albeit they are not yet able to reveal who it is, during Friday night’s fans’ forum.

It’s easier said than done, but Caddis acknowledged that “we needed a big and dominant central midfielder.”

“Putting a large lamppost in the middle of the field is a pointless move.

Someone who can compete physically and run is what we need. We believe we have it with a person we signed this year, but we are unable to make that announcement.

“We believe we have someone who is both physically and technically qualified.”

When questioned, was Tate Campbell present? Caddis answered, “How are you aware of that? That’s why it’s all over the Birmingham Mail.

At the conclusion of the previous campaign, Birmingham City released 22-year-old midfielder Campbell.

Due to hamstring issues that plagued him throughout his tenure at Birmingham, Campbell recently hinted that he would play football on a part-time basis only to get back into the game.

This weekend, Hereford will play their first preseason friendly against Westfields, who defeated Aber Bluebirds 2-1 on Tuesday night.

Fields will play the Bulls on Saturday after Cameron Keetch scored two goals in their first preseason friendly.

The fitness of his team entering the preseason has impressed Caddis, who plans to add a few trialists to his roster in the upcoming weeks.

“It’s great that the players have returned, Nick, because it allows you to concentrate much more on the football stuff,” Caddis remarked.

“The fitness levels have an excellent foundation. Andy Williams is moving in the gym like he’s twenty-five.

“We’re quite happy with the new players, and we can’t wait for the games to start.

The ones pouring in thick and quick. The younger guys will likely be brought down to help with match preparation.

“I prefer the signed players to be in for the first week, but we’ll try to get some trialists in, primarily so we can look at them and to help with the numbers.”

“Next week, we’ll have a few in.”
