BREAKING NEWS: Kyle Schwarber sets a record with his first home run.

At this point, it’s hard to keep track of all the important games Kyle Schwarber has led off with a home run since joining the Philadelphia Phillies in 2022.

The latest came in the bottom of the first inning of Game 1 of the NLDS Saturday, as Schwarber hit a 425-foot nuke off of New York Mets starter Kodai Senga to give the Phillies an early 1-0 lead:

With the home run, Schwarber is now the all-time leader in postseason homers by a Phillie. He passed Jayson Werth and Bryce Harper. Obviously, Harper will have a chance to pull even once again as the postseason goes on.

Schwarber has also now passed Derek Jeter and is in sole possession of fourth all-time with 21 career postseason home runs. Only Manny Ramirez (29), Jose Altuve (27) and Bernie Williams (22) have more.
