Lions GM Hints at Potential Return for Two Key Free Agents
Detroit Lions General Manager Brad Holmes has sparked excitement among fans after hinting at the possibility of bringing back two key free agents from last season. Speaking during a media session, Holmes expressed his admiration for former Lions defensive end Charles Harris and wide receiver DJ Chark, signaling that their returns could be on the cards.
Harris, a standout pass rusher during the 2021 season, played a crucial role in boosting Detroit’s defensive line but has struggled with injuries in recent campaigns. Despite this, Holmes described Harris as a “difference-maker” when healthy, fueling speculation that the Lions may offer him a short-term prove-it deal to bolster their pass rush in 2025.
Meanwhile, Chark, who joined the Lions on a one-year deal in 2022, provided a much-needed vertical threat during his stint in Detroit. Holmes praised Chark’s professionalism and explosive playmaking ability, suggesting he could be a perfect fit alongside rising stars Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams in the Lions’ receiving corps.
While no formal deals have been announced, Holmes’ comments have fans buzzing about the potential reunion. With the Lions aiming to solidify their roster for a playoff push, these moves could prove pivotal in the team’s continued resurgence.
